Per Capita Ranking Estimation Tool

Legislative sessions are in full swing, and to help with advocacy efforts, NASAA is highlighting its newly updated appropriations tool, which estimates a state’s arts funding per capita amount and rank based on a theoretical legislative appropriations amount.

To use the interactive chart, select your state, choose to include or exclude line items, and enter your target appropriation amount. To help choose your funding target, the tool includes current fiscal year 2017 appropriation amounts for your selected state, as well as a table showing the funding amounts needed to reach certain per capita ranking milestones.

The Per Capita Ranking Estimation Tool is one of three freshly updated interactive visualizations featuring FY2017 state appropriations, each found on NASAA’s Funding page. NASAA additionally provides advocacy toolsfunding and grant-making data and custom research to help you make your case.
