IMPROVING CONDITIONS FOR ARTISTS

South Carolina Arts Commission

The Artists’ Ventures Initiative of the South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC) is dedicated to improving conditions for South Carolina artists by helping them develop the knowledge and skills to build satisfying, sustainable careers. In response to input from artists across the state, the Arts Commission is offering artist gatherings, business training and start-up support for new artist-driven, arts-based businesses. The South Carolina Artist Ventures Initiative is funded by a grant from Leveraging Investments in Creativity (LINC), a national program that works to improve conditions for artists. As a part of this national initiative, SCAC is drawing from and contributing to the research, resources, and tools being forged by the national network.
