Return on Investment: National Endowment for the Arts
NASAA’s new one-pager, Return on Investment: National Endowment for the Arts, offers succinct talking points demonstrating the powerful impact of federal and state arts funding. Designed to help you communicate the importance of federal investment in the arts in the current policy environment, this resource provides data on the broad reach of federal dollars, the ways the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) meets federal objectives and the fivefold return on investment delivered only by the arts.
In addition, NASAA can supply customized maps to members that show NEA and state grants by U.S. congressional district. These maps illustrate the relevance of federal and state arts funds to each member of your congressional delegation. Contact Mohja Rhoads to request a report for your state.
Whether used on their own or in conjunction with other resources in NASAA’s Return on Investment: Public Arts Funding resource center, these tools equip you with the facts on federal arts funding to make the case for continued investments and support. Feel free to:
- share these materials in your agency news bulletins
- forward them to your council members
- offer them as tools for advocates
- cite them as context in your own state level impact stories
