Shaun Harrison joined NASAA in 2024 as the qualitative research manager. He is responsible for monitoring programmatic trends in the state arts agency field, documenting the diverse strategies used to foster the arts at the state level and coordinating research communications.
Prior to joining NASAA, Shaun was a writer and researcher at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, where he wrote, edited and conducted research on numerous topics related to economic inequality. He was also a freelance writer and academic editor, focusing on book manuscripts and public scholarship. He holds a B.A. in sociology from The George Washington University and an M.A. in American studies from Columbia University.
