By congressional mandate, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) allocates 40% of its annual grant-making dollars to state arts agencies and their regional arts organizations. NASAA has numerous resources to help members explain the importance of the state-federal partnership in supporting the arts:
NASAA members can request customized maps showing the distribution of NEA and state arts agency grants by a variety of geographies, including U.S. congressional districts. Custom NEA Arts Investment Fact Sheets with state maps and state level talking points also can be generated for members upon request.
Custom maps and summaries of grant awards and locations for each state’s house and senate district also are available upon request. The one-page summary reports provide an overview of grant making by district and can include an accompanying list of grantees and grant awards.
