NASAA Testimony Thanks U.S. House for Requested NEA Increase
In May, NASAA submitted testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives Interior Appropriations Subcommittee, which has jurisdiction over the budget for the National Endowment for the Arts. We stated that we are grateful for the committee’s recommendation to fund the agency in fiscal year 2019 at $155 million—the level that our federal arts coalition advocates requested. Since then, both the House and Senate Appropriations committees have passed bills approving the $155 million funding level. I’m grateful to all arts advocates for keeping your representatives and senators informed about the value of public funding for the arts.
