State Accountability Report
Each year, the Nevada Office of the State Controller issues a comprehensive report analyzing the state’s financial condition and summarizing key demographic and economic indicators that affect the state’s budget. The most recent edition of this report features artwork and images from the Nevada Arts Council‘s Nevada Folklife Archives, showcasing elements of the Native American culture and western heritage of Nevada. The State of Nevada 2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report features more than 20 photos that honor the vibrant displays of powwow performances, ancient rock art petroglyphs and sepia-toned ancestral images dating back centuries, as well as photos of current events and contemporary creations. This unique partnership between the Arts Council and the State Controller helps new audiences to discover, understand and celebrate significant cultural traditions unique to Nevada, and reinforces the value of dollars invested in preserving those traditions for future generations. For more information on this collaboration, contact Nevada Arts Council Executive Director Susan Boskoff.
