California: Million Plates for the Arts Campaign
The California Arts Council (CAC) recently launched the Million Plates for the Arts campaign. The intent of the campaign is to significantly increase funds for CAC arts programs for California’s children and communities through sales of the specialty arts license plate. To kick off the campaign, CAC council members were joined by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and First Lady Maria Shriver, representatives from The Creative Coalition, and artists from across the state for a special event at the Fox Studios in Los Angeles. Read the full text of the remarks from the launch, or view the video below. For additional videos, visit the CAC YouTube channel. For more information about the campaign, contact CAC Communications Director Mary Beth Barber.
