As states progress through their current stage of fiscal planning and resource allocation, NASAA would like to highlight data resources that stand ready to support informed decision-making and budgeting processes. NASAA’s suite of interactive dashboards offers extensive benchmarking data and comparative funding insights to inform the budget development process.

• The Legislative Appropriations Explorer offers a state level funding overview and historical trends.
• The Total Agency Revenue Explorer enables analysis of revenue stream compositions to help agencies understand year-over-year funding patterns.
• The Regional Appropriations and Revenue Explorer presents regional funding benchmarks and comparative data, helping agencies understand their positioning within regional contexts.

These annually updated resources reflect the most current data available, providing evidence for budget discussions and legislative inquiries within regional and national frameworks. Additionally, the Public Funding Sourcebook (a member-only resource) contains information on each state arts agency’s legislative appropriation from 1970 to the present day.
