NASAA Testimony to U.S. House of Representatives
I recently submitted testimony for NASAA to the U.S. House of Representatives Interior Appropriations Subcommittee, which has jurisdiction over the budget for the National Endowment for the Arts. I urged the subcommittee to increase funding for the agency in fiscal year 2022, and focused on the value of the federal-state partnership to communities across the country. I also emphasized the tremendous work state arts agencies have accomplished in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and shared new research on how the economic recovery of the creative sector can benefit the broader economic recovery of the entire nation.
