DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND MEMBERSHIP
This position orchestrates the development of NASAA’s strategic and action plans and facilitates ongoing assessment of NASAA activities. As part of the management team and a key member-facing communicator, the director of planning and membership collaborates with and leads staff efforts to improve member and staff engagement, and directs the maintenance of NASAA’s mission-critical member database.
The director of planning and membership position is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position including benefits. The starting annual salary range is $90,000 – $95,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. Review the full position description.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Seven years of administrative experience, including working collaboratively with a professional team
- Experience with databases
- Experience working in a professional association, nonprofit organization or customer service environment and in human resources administration strongly preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce or other database programs
- Exemplary collaboration, organizational, written, and oral communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to prioritize work and tasks
- Strong interpersonal abilities
- Experience developing and executing strategic goals preferred
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

OPERATIONS MANAGER
The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) is recruiting a full-time operations manager.
This position is a pivotal member of the NASAA team, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of NASAA’s day-to-day office functions. The operations manager provides overall technology and administrative support, manages the mission-critical membership database, and assists with accounting functions and conference and meeting logistics.
Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to-day operation of the physical office, equipment and off-site work capabilities
- Acts as primary liaison to NASAA’s IT service provider
- Ensures the currency and integrity of NASAA’s member database, including data entry, reporting, upgrades and third-party integrations
- Manages registration for online and in-person events
- Assists with the planning and execution of meetings and events
- Assists with day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, logging payments, generating invoices and tracking costs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Four+ years in general office or administrative functions and basic bookkeeping
- Two+ years of CRM database experience (Salesforce knowledge a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a member-driven or client-centered organization
Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Superior organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal abilities
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); current knowledge of technology software and office equipment
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
