Jillette Leon-Guerrero Is Acting Director in Guam
Jillette Torre Leon-Guerrero has been appointed acting director of the Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities Agency. Leon-Guerrero is the founder of Guamology Inc., a business that provides the community with information about Guam and its history. She was executive director of the Guam Humanities Council from 1992 – 1996 and again from 1999 – 2005. She also served a stint as executive director of the Consortium for Pacific Arts and Cultures in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. A freelance writer, Leon-Guerrero holds a master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma and is a candidate for a master’s degree in genealogy and other studies at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
