NEA Panel Cover Sheets
The National Endowment for the arts (NEA) provides state arts agency information sheets to panelists to provide supplemental background information for each state whose application is under review. With guidance from the NEA Partnership Office, and at their request, NASAA produces specialized information sheets that highlight state or regional demographic data and a chronology of state and NEA funding for each agency.
The information sheets include data drawn from NASAA surveys and from nationally normed data sources, such as the U.S. Census, in order to provide comparable information. This year’s round of information sheets presents information more clearly: funding data has been combined into a colorful new bar chart and, on the demographic front, we added new data about underserved communities and inserted national figures to aid comparisons. Above is an example for Michigan. To request the information sheet for your state, contact NASAA Research Manager Paul Pietsch or Research Associate Henry Clapp.
