Rhode Island: Design Innovation Grant
The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) has developed a new award program to promote the role of design as a tool for innovation, production, and improving quality of life. An annual Design Innovation Grant (DIG) will be given to one Rhode Island designer who is innovating a specific kind of design process or who has a concept for a cutting edge product or service with a potential public benefit. The $6,000 award is intended to encourage designers who are skilled innovators, entrepreneurs and problem solvers to develop plans and concepts that further the field of design and benefit the citizens of Rhode Island. To learn more about this award, contact RISCA Director of Artists Programs Cristina Di Chiera.
