Virginia: Cultural Tourism Partnership Grants
The Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA) and the Virginia Tourism Corporation are partnering to offer a special grant program to help Virginia arts organizations with tourism promotions. Tourism and the Arts Grants are available to partnerships led by general operating support grantees of the Commission that collaborate with two other entities (such as local tourism offices, other arts organizations, local government, visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce or private businesses). The partnerships encourage communities to pool their efforts and resources to market Virginia as a year-round travel destination and market the cultural attractions of Virginia to international travelers. Eligible activities for funding include direct expenses for printed materials, advertising, Web site development, travel and trade shows, and other marketing activities. The application requires analysis of target audiences and market research to support each request for funding. For more information, contact VCA Deputy Director Foster Billingsley.
