South Dakota – Our Culture & Heritage is a cooperative publication by the South Dakota Arts Council (SDAC), the South Dakota Office of Tourism and the South Dakota State Historical Society. The publication includes information about art galleries, ethnic diversity, festivals, heritage parks, historical architecture, historical markers, Lewis and Clark, live music, Native American experiences, open artist studios and theaters throughout the state. The guide is organized by the four main tourism regions of the state, includes sample itineraries for visitors to each region, and provides both out-of-state and in-state travelers a comprehensive listing of the state’s culture and heritage offerings.
