Staffing Trends

NASAA recently released State Arts Agency Staffing Trends: Fiscal Year 2013, which looks at trends in staff size, responses to staff cutbacks and how state arts agencies are preparing for the future. NASAA has collected staffing data since 1987.

NASAA collects information on 14 common positions at state arts agencies. In the table below—one of several in the Staffing Trends report—the length of the bars shows how many state arts agencies reported having these positions.

NASAA offers customized breakouts of staffing and compensation data to member states. This information can be useful in planning, budgeting and recruiting. NASAA also maintains a databank of state arts agency job descriptions and announcements across many positions. Contact Henry Clapp to request this information.
