Delaware: Promoting the Value of Arts Education
The Delaware Division of the Arts (DDA) celebrated its state Arts in Education Month by creating a series of videos promoting the value of arts education. The Excellence in Arts Education videosfeatured a series of outstanding arts education programs in schools, cultural venues and community centers around the state. These signature programs demonstrate the short- and long-term impact that the arts have on student learning and preparation for the 21st century work force for many different populations, including youth at risk and students with disabilities. A video introduction by Delaware First Lady Carla Markell accompanies the collection of six videos on learning programs in the visual and performing arts.
