Nebraska: Creative Relief Partnership
NebraskaStrong Creative Relief is a new partnership between the Nebraska Library Commission and the Nebraska Arts Council (NAC). The goal of the collaboration is to use the arts to bring people together and affirm resourcefulness, civic cohesion, grit and community pride—all essential to recovery in regions of Nebraska damaged by this year’s record-breaking floods. NebraskaStrong Creative Relief features NAC roster artists who are generously volunteering to lead cultural activities in communities that are rebuilding. Events include a series of flood relief concerts featuring musicians of all genres as well as printmaking, storytelling and puppet-making workshops for families and children. Many activities are being hosted and coordinated by local libraries and all are free of charge and open to the public. Find out more from NAC Communications Officer Chad Dolezal.
