Info Request Analysis, 2004-2016

NASAA compiles information request data every six months and consistently reports on current year data. For the first time, as part of a comprehensive planning effort, we are publishing a long-term analysis of information requests for data spanning from 2004 to 2016, comprised of over 3,700 individual requests for information.

The resulting Information Request Analysis is chock-full of data visualizations and provides a number of key results, such as:

  • Demand for NASAA’s information services continues to rise, and we are fulfilling requests with increased frequency.
  • Important topics such as Final Descriptive Reports, state arts agency funding and state arts agency grant-making maintain their urgency and importance.
  • Advocacy requests are more frequent in recent years, a trend likely to continue.
  • Demand for services is consistent through the year, with some spikes around the change in state and federal fiscal years.

Not only is responding to information requests a large part of our work in our service to state arts agencies, it is a fulfilling part of how NASAA immediately helps members and the field. The more information requests NASAA fulfills, the more we build our knowledge about our membership. Besides that, we love hearing from you at any time—so please continue to ASK NASAA!
