SAA Grant Programs Database

NASAA recently updated its comprehensive database of state arts agency (SAA) grant programs. Based on guidelines available this summer, the database includes nearly 620 SAA grant programs with information on award amounts, adjudication criteria, eligible recipients, policy goals and more.

The database enables NASAA to easily search specified criteria to assist states looking for information on comparable grant programs and guidelines. For example, you may have questions such as:

  • Are there examples of project grants focused on creative economy initiatives?
  • Are there examples of operating support programs that award to universities or other institutions?
  • My agency supports artist-in-residence grants. May I see examples of guidelines for these types of programs in other states?
  • Are there any examples of SAA grant programs that support international exchanges?

If you are evaluating current programs, reflecting on practices or contemplating new initiatives, the database is a valuable resource to help you get an overview of SAA grant programs across the country.
