Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Which arts organizations in my state have received National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grant awards?

Answer: The NEA publishes lists of current grants to artists and arts organizations in the “Recent Grants” area of their Web site. Recipients in each NEA grant category are provided at http://www.arts.gov/grants/recent/index_state.html. NASAA also maintains an archival database of NEA grant awards from 1991 through 2006. State arts agencies can request customized tables that itemize all awards, show per capita NEA funding by state, or track trends over time.

For Additional Information: Contact Kelly Barsdate at kelly@nasaa-arts.org to request information or learn more about how NEA funding affects the cultural life of your state.
