Drawing for Reflection and Focus
Eric Giles, Learning Services Director, NASAA
This workshop will use simple drawing techniques to explore intuitive art making with thoughtful writing and reflection. You do not need experience drawing or any “talent” to participate in this session. All you will need is a few sheets of blank paper and something to draw with (pencil, pen, charcoal, etc.).
Laura Smith, Chief Advancement Officer, NASAA
This session explores breath meditation and body scanning, a practice that involves paying attention to parts of the body in a gradual sequence from head to feet. Connecting with the breath and tuning into your body can be a relaxing and effective way to release tension you may not even know you have. This practice is great for all levels of experience, including none. All you need is a comfortable place to sit.
Movement for Energy
Patricia Mullaney-Loss, Research Manager, NASAA
This workshop will use guided movement to loosen and recharge our bodies. You will need a space to sit and/or stand. People of all abilities and movement backgrounds are welcome.
