NASAA 2023 Executive Forum: New Executive Directors Roundtable

NASAA extends a warm welcome to all new state arts agency executive directors!

To support your success, NASAA is convening a special session that is tailored to your needs. This invitation-only event will complement the main Executive Forum agenda and will concentrate on the distinctive roles of state arts agencies, change leadership, transition dynamics and priority issues for recent appointees. Executive directors appointed since September 2022 and individuals serving in an interim capacity at the time of the forum are eligible to participate.

New and interim executive directors should arrive in Santa Fe by Sunday evening, December 3, 2023. The New Executive Directors Roundtable runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 4, at the Drury Plaza Hotel. Breakfast and lunch are included. This is an in-person session, not a virtual or hybrid event.

No registration fee is being charged for the December 4 roundtable. (A registration fee is required for the main Executive Forum taking place December 5-6.)

NASAA will contact eligible individuals to provide further information. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the New Executive Directors Roundtable—or about NASAA’s onboarding and orientation support services for new leaders—please contact NASAA Chief Program and Planning Officer Kelly Barsdate.

This sculpture, by U.S. Army Veteran Mark Harris, was highlighted in the Essential(s) poster series, which featured works from veteran artists to show appreciation for the sacrifices and compassion of New Mexico’s frontline workers during the pandemic.
