I’m pleased to announce that NASAA has released our 2025 State Legislative Roundup, which highlights 127 bills considered by state legislatures last year that are important to state arts agencies and their constituencies.
As states considered the role of arts and culture in bolstering economic development, improving educational outcomes and supporting public art, NASAA continued to track the cultural policy trends reflected in state legislation around the country. This look back at last year’s legislation also features a visual analysis of state legislative trends over the past 10 years.
The resource is attached and available on NASAA’s website.
NASAA continuously monitors legislation affecting state arts agencies and their policy environments all year round. Stay tuned for our 2026 State Legislative Roundup, coming this fall. We welcome news—now or at any point in the year—about past, current or pending legislation in your state. You can share your legislative leads with NASAA by contacting me at shaun.harrison@nasaa-arts.org.
