From 2020 – 2022, the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) led an initiative to advance creative aging through the nation’s state and jurisdictional arts councils. Conducted in collaboration with E.A. Michelson Philanthropy, Leveraging State Investments in Creative Aging (LSICA) catalyzed new and expanded programming for older adults nationwide. This page harvests shared learnings from the initiative and salutes the many contributions older adults are making to our nation’s creative life.
NASAA is grateful to E.A. Michelson Philanthropy for support of this partnership and so many other projects that facilitate creativity and connection for older adults. We applaud all the state arts agencies who are working to make the transformative power of the arts available to older adults nationwide.
