Access for All

The arts belong to all of us. The public sector has a critical role to play in ensuring that all communities—not just urban areas or wealthy families—can access the economic, civic, health and educational opportunities created through the arts.

To that end, NASAA provides tools and information that help state arts agencies reduce barriers to arts participation and ensure that public investments in the arts are fair, transparent and responsive to community needs. NASAA also helps state arts agencies comply with federal statutory requirements around artistic merit, artistic excellence and underserved populations.

Because our members are stewards of taxpayer dollars, NASAA’s work is accountability driven and strictly nonpartisan.
