In collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) is pleased to release a new Strategy Sampler exemplifying successful state programs and policies investing in civic infrastructure.
Cross-Sector Strategies for Civic Infrastructure and Community Cohesion highlights strategies across seven state arts agencies with innovative partnerships contributing to building community strength and cohesion.
Civic infrastructure is both the physical places and the social processes used to change communities. The term refers to the assets, services and amenities that support social, economic and civic well-being.
This Strategy Sampler is the second in a series that highlights state arts agency and regional arts organization initiatives to partner across sectors—and to leverage arts and creativity for solving community challenges. These tools share emerging practices in cross-sectoral programs, policies and practices that invoke the arts. This knowledge is aimed at helping state arts agencies and regional arts organizations to proliferate impactful programs and to refine ongoing work in these areas. For more cross-sector strategy samplers and other resources, visit NASAA’s Cross-Sector Collaborations web page.
Stay tuned for our next release in this series, covering rural development, and register for State Arts Agency Cross-Sector Strategies, our webinar taking place January 15, that discusses cross-sector examples, strategies and challenges.
