NASAA is pleased to welcome arts and cultural leaders from across the country to Washington, D.C., October 7-9 for a dynamic, in-person gathering in the nation’s capital.

Hosted by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, NASAA Assembly 2026 brings together state arts agencies, regional partners and national leaders to Washington, D.C., for two days of shared learning, peer exchange and conversation about the future of public support for the arts.

This conference is both a celebration of the work happening across the field and an opportunity to connect, learn and collaborate. Participants engage in:

  • sessions exploring timely trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the arts sector
  • peer gatherings for executive leaders, commissioners/council members and job-alike groups
  • unifying plenary sessions featuring national perspectives and inspiring voices
  • opportunities to experience Washington, D.C.’s vibrant arts and cultural landscape through curated, place based activities
