Eric Giles directs leadership development programs that boost state arts agencies’ knowledge and skills and create a supportive and rewarding professional community for NASAA members. He oversees NASAA’s Assembly and Executive Forum convenings, coordinates NASAA’s peer group networks, and manages NASAA’s webinars and other virtual learning services. Eric also serves as a resource for NASAA and state arts agencies on best practices in adult learning and instructional design.
Eric joined NASAA in 2008. He has two master’s degrees, in international policy and comparative religious studies, as well as two bachelor’s degrees, in history and fine arts. He is a trained visual artist in a wide variety of mediums and taught as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Southern Maryland for 10 years. He currently brings his skills to bear outside of NASAA as a creativity coach, working with visual artists and musicians to enhance their artistic pursuits.
