This morning, the Biden administration released its fiscal year 2025 budget request to Congress. This document, which is not binding, is the means through which the executive branch communicates to Congress its spending priorities for the upcoming fiscal year. In the document, the President requests increasing the budget for the National Endowment for the Arts to $210.1 million for the upcoming fiscal year.

With the budget now released, members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees will begin the work of writing the funding bills for each federal agency. As the process unfolds, NASAA will keep you informed about any relevant developments, including the best time to chime in with your members of Congress in support of funding for the National Endowment for the Arts.
