Your Input Wanted: NASAA Strategic Planning

Dear NASAA colleagues:

We’re writing today with an update on NASAA’s strategic planning process. As you know, NASAA has spent recent months in discussion with state arts agencies—and with other sectors and stakeholders—to chart a course for NASAA’s future. Thank you for all of your wise counsel, smart ideas and encouragement. Our conversations with you have underscored the importance of the work that both state arts agencies and NASAA need to do in the years ahead.

Informed and inspired by a transparent process that included rigorous data analysis as well as candid dialogue, the NASAA board’s and Planning & Budget Committee is developing a fresh strategic plan. We invite you to review the draft. Your comments and suggestions will be very valuable as we finalize the plan over the summer.

Please let us know what you think! Send a message to Kelly Barsdate or phone the NASAA office at 202-347-6354. We’d like to hear from you between now and August 11.

Voting members of NASAA (executive directors and chairs) will receive a final draft before our annual business meeting at the NASAA 2017 Leadership Institute this October, where the membership will be asked to ratify new plan. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to be in touch.

With best regards and high expectations for the future,
