Through collaboration with leadership, staff and membership, Dora Shick orchestrates the development of NASAA’s strategic and action plans. She facilitates the ongoing assessment of NASAA activities and leads efforts to improve member and staff engagement. She also directs the maintenance of NASAA’s membership records. Prior to joining the team as director of planning and membership in 2025, Dora served as operations consultant from 2019-2024 and as NASAA’s development and membership manager from 2007-2016.
Dora has worked as a licensed massage therapist, specializing in pediatric massage and craniosacral therapy. She holds a government degree from Smith College.
Dora became involved in the performing arts at a young age, and her love of dance continues to sustain her. For nine years she performed with DancEthos, a D.C. based modern dance company. These days she particularly enjoys taking hip-hop classes and dancing around the kitchen with her family.
