Maine Arts Commission: Creative Aging Program Expansion

Project Description

Creative Aging Program Expansion (CAPE) will offer more Creative Aging teacher training across the state and increase the award amount (and the application volume) of the Creative Aging Project Grant. Maine Arts Commission will generate greater awareness through promotional materials (images, video and stories) and refine the existing usability and visibility of the Maine Creative Aging Roster. Maine Arts Commission will partner with arts organizations across the state with training and awareness. There will be sessions focusing on organization development of creative aging capacity, and training sessions focusing on partnerships between arts organizations and organizations that serve older populations. In November 2021, Maine Arts Commission will collaborate with the Maine Council on Aging on a conference in which stakeholders will discuss the successes and challenges of the initiative so far and create enthusiasm for the 2022 part of the project.
