The NASAA Hearts of Practice convening is the culmination of a year-long Arts and Health Professional Learning Community (PLC) aimed at building knowledge and strengthening the practices of state and jurisdictional arts agency (SAA) and regional arts organization (RAO) staff at the intersection of the arts and health.
The program offers SAA and RAO networking opportunities and exploration of arts and health programming with leadership from field experts and peers. Sessions discuss sustainability, expanding innovative programs, evaluation and cross-sector partnerships in areas such as arts on prescription, creative aging, veterans’ health and more.
The Hearts of Practice convening is aimed at all SAA and RAO staff who manage programs or have an interest in developing arts and health programs at their agencies or organizations. Other interested participants are welcome based on space and availability. The convening can accommodate a maximum of 75 participants.
There is no fee for participating in the Hearts of Practice convening. Breakfast and lunch are provided on February 12. Breakfast is provided on February 13.
NASAA can offer travel subsidies of up to $1,000 to a limited number of SAA/RAO staff. These subsidies will be allocated to one participant per state for up to 30 participants, with additional availability based on estimated travel costs. For best consideration for a travel subsidy, register before November 30.
