Honor Outstanding State Arts Agency Leadership

July 16, 2020

Come one, come all, and join us in celebrating leaders in our community! NASAA is now accepting nominations for our 2020 NASAA Leadership Awards.

NASAA’s awards program recognizes outstanding leadership and promotes the best practices of state arts agencies (SAAs) and regional arts organizations (RAOs). These awards provide a wonderful opportunity to showcase the excellent work and leadership of your agency.

  • This year we are excited to include two new awards centered on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). One award for individuals and one award for state arts agencies will be given to those who have demonstrated a robust commitment to supporting and advancing the work and values of DEI in their states. Both awards include a monetary prize to be used in support of the recipients’ DEI work.
  • The Distinguished Public Service Award honors a volunteer leader whose outstanding service, energy, creative thinking and leadership have had a significant impact on public support for the arts in their state or region. All current or past SAA and RAO chairs and council members are eligible.
  • The Gary Young Award recognizes an executive director who has made a significant contribution to public support for the arts in their state or region. All current or past SAA and RAO executive directors are eligible.

Nominations are due by September 4, 2020. Please visit the 2020 NASAA Leadership Awards nominations page for more information and to download the nomination forms. Award winners will be recognized at the conclusion of our online Learning Series during the Business Bash, October 22, 2020.
