Mary Margaret Schoenfeld

Mary Margaret Schoenfeld is an independent arts management consultant focused on ensuring that meaningful arts and cultural opportunities are available to the widest possible audience. Working primarily with arts funding agencies, foundations and arts organizations, Schoenfeld provides program and project management, facilitation, and strategic planning services; conducts training and provides technical assistance; and develops and supports peer learning networks. Schoenfeld currently serves as national coordinator for the six U.S. regional arts organizations, and with partner Maren Brown, has developed strategic plans for the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Delaware Division of the Arts. Prior to her work as a consultant, Schoenfeld served as community development manager and director of local arts agency services at Americans for the Arts, director of artist services at the Arlington (Virginia) Cultural Affairs Division, executive director of the League of Historic American Theatres, and grants manager at the Vermont Arts Council. She has an M.A. in public affairs from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, with a concentration on community and economic development. (Board term 2018-2019)
